Description

  • Own, operate, and evolve the cloud and Kubernetes-based platform.
  • Improve infrastructure security, reliability, cost efficiency, and performance.
  • Champion standards and drive initiatives that reduce duplication and improve consistency.
  • Collaborate with product teams to help them build and own their services.
  • Work with other platform teams, including SRE and DevEx, to deliver a coherent platform.
  • Enable self-service and agentic workflow patterns that support a build-it, own-it model.
  • Build tooling and AI-powered integrations that simplify infrastructure operations.
  • Support the systems built for a globally distributed engineering organization.
  • Execute, automate, and support operational tasks on complex mission-critical systems.
  • Architect, design, and implement simple, maintainable solutions.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes, its components, containerization, and AWS cloud.
  • Proven experience running Kubernetes- and cloud-based production SaaS systems at scale.
  • Deep understanding of networking, including production use of service meshes and gateways.
  • Strong operational and troubleshooting skills across Kubernetes, databases, messaging systems, and storage layers.
  • Proficiency in Python and Golang, ideally through building infrastructure tooling, Kubernetes operators, or control plane components.
  • Experience with highly performant CI/CD practices that support agentic workflows.
  • Ability and desire to design, lead, influence, and deliver ambitious technical roadmaps.
  • Experience managing large fleets of Kubernetes clusters with lifecycle management tools such as CAPI or Rancher is preferred.
  • Production experience with HashiCorp Vault or similar secret management systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GCP and Azure is preferred.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $223,100 to $305,000 USD.
