Description

  • Design, develop, and automate security controls for cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
  • Maintain, integrate, and scale cloud security tooling such as posture management and vulnerability platforms.
  • Investigate and remediate cloud security vulnerabilities through to closure.
  • Design and build access controls for cloud and Kubernetes environments using zero-trust principles.
  • Partner with incident response teams to build detections and help analyze and mitigate cloud-related security incidents.
  • Develop security standards and guardrails and embed them into CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
  • Work with compliance teams to translate ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR requirements into technical controls.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, threat modeling, and code reviews to identify security risks.
  • Lead security projects independently from scoping and planning through completion.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams on security improvements and risk reduction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud security or security-focused infrastructure/DevOps engineering.
  • Hands-on experience securing containerized environments and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of AWS and ideally GCP, plus infrastructure-as-code solutions.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages, such as Python, for automation.
  • Experience with cloud security posture management or similar security tooling.
  • Ability to own problems end to end, drive projects with minimal direction, and communicate clearly across teams.
  • Experience across multiple clouds, especially AWS and GCP, is preferred.
  • Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps/GitOps workflows is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with threat modeling and security architecture reviews is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience turning compliance requirements into technical controls is preferred.
  • Contributions to security communities, open-source projects, or security research are preferred.
  • Relevant security certifications, such as CKS, are preferred.
