Description

  • Lead and develop the Platform Engineering, Analytics Engineering, and Data Science sub-teams, including managing team leads and priorities.
  • Own the data lakehouse architecture and make build-versus-buy decisions on data tooling.
  • Drive partner invoicing accuracy, reproducibility, and scalability as new pricing mechanisms and products are launched.
  • Deliver embedded analytics and reporting for partners, including row-level security and entitlements.
  • Support product launches by coordinating data impact analysis across datasets, dashboards, and reverse ETL workflows.
  • Build self-service analytics capabilities using semantic layers, data catalogues, and conversational BI.
  • Oversee AI and machine learning enablement, including enterprise search and workflow automation initiatives.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, Product, Compliance, and Customer Success to translate business needs into data products.
  • Manage infrastructure costs and keep data and cloud spend within target as assets under management grow.
  • Own production operations for the data stack, including on-call, incident response, and service-level objectives for freshness, accuracy, and availability.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics, including 3+ years managing data teams with leads and individual contributors.
  • Deep experience with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Trino/Presto or equivalent query engines, Apache Iceberg or similar table formats, and cloud object storage.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT patterns at scale, including CDC with Debezium/Kafka, batch processing with Airflow/dbt, streaming, and reverse ETL.
  • Proven track record of building self-service analytics for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with financial data such as trading, invoicing, revenue attribution, or regulatory reporting in fintech or financial services.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with comfort reading code, reviewing pull requests, and making architecture decisions.
  • Experience managing distributed or remote teams across multiple time zones.
  • Strong stakeholder management and the ability to translate between executive priorities and engineering execution.
  • Experience with GCP, including GKE, GCS, and BigQuery migration, plus Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.
  • Experience with brokerage or broker-dealer operations such as clearing, settlement, market making, or reconciliation, preferred.
  • Familiarity with LLM and AI tooling such as MCP, vector databases, enterprise search, or conversational BI tools like WrenAI and Cube, preferred.
  • Background in compliance analytics such as AML/Actimize, KYC, or margin calls, preferred.
  • Exposure to open-source data catalogues such as OpenMetadata or Collate and data quality frameworks, preferred.
