Description

  • Research, identify, and evaluate funding opportunities aligned with the company’s strategic mission and therapeutic areas of interest.
  • Work with senior leadership to determine which funding opportunities to pursue and present recommendations to decision-makers.
  • Represent Alimentiv in funding agency information sessions and meetings as needed.
  • Draft polished grant proposals and application materials tailored to each funding opportunity.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to complete application packages, including budgets, on time.
  • Manage document review cycles, revise proposals based on stakeholder feedback, and maintain content accuracy and consistency.
  • Monitor submitted proposals, respond to funding agency questions, and follow up on application status.
  • Identify work eligible for SR&ED tax incentives and support preparation of the annual claim with Finance and other teams.
  • Maintain grant administration materials, including supporting documents, calendars of application and reporting deadlines, and status reports.
  • Support contract execution, budget tracking, expense eligibility verification, and other grant-related administrative tasks.
  • Assist the medical writing team with abstracts, posters, slide decks, and QC review of regulatory documents or publications as time permits.

Requirements

  • Minimum undergraduate degree; advanced degree preferred.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience writing grant proposals, preferably in the clinical research space.
  • Knowledge of GI indications is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team and build rapport with funders.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create clear, structured, persuasive proposals.
  • Superior time management skills and ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines from multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting related to grants.
  • Strong research skills and familiarity with databases and other online sources of funding information.
  • Self-starter who can proactively translate opportunities into funding.

Benefits

  • Remote, full-time, permanent position.
  • Salary range of $61,000 to $102,000 per year.
  • Opportunity to work with senior leaders and cross-functional teams on research funding initiatives.
