Description

  • Lead quality engineering efforts for the React-based storefront and internal middleware.
  • Build and maintain automated testing systems and frameworks that catch bugs before release.
  • Guide, review, and mentor other QA developers while raising the team’s technical standard.
  • Own and improve CI/CD integration for automated tests to provide fast, reliable feedback.
  • Diagnose flaky tests, reduce test instability, and improve overall test performance.
  • Track and report QA metrics such as coverage, pipeline stability, runtime, and defect leakage.
  • Collaborate with developers to strengthen release quality and reduce production defects.
  • Perform deeper QA work including API contract testing, performance profiling, load testing, and browser tool profiling.
  • Help architect, optimize, and scale testing frameworks across frontend and backend systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of QA development experience with examples of building, maintaining, improving, or scaling automated testing strategies.
  • 2+ years of leadership, mentorship, or coaching experience.
  • Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
  • Experience architecting, optimizing, and scaling automated testing frameworks across storefront and middleware systems.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into cloud-based CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of QA metrics including automation coverage, pipeline stability, runtime, flaky test reduction, and production defect leakage.
  • Comfort with API contract testing, performance profiling, load testing, and browser developer tool profiling.
  • Preferred experience with Python, PHP, Figma, Storybook, or Jest.
  • Ecommerce experience, especially with React-based storefronts and digital marketing technology.
  • Humble, eager to learn, and a strong team player.
