Description

  • Design, build, and operate solutions that continuously improve and automate security capabilities.
  • Use data to identify trends, metrics, and opportunities to strengthen the security posture and execute improvements with stakeholders.
  • Lead incident response efforts, including analysis, containment, mitigation, and remediation of security incidents.
  • Draft and refine security program documentation such as policies, standards, baselines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and analysts.
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams across the organization to drive security outcomes.
  • Help secure enterprise, cloud-native environments, and applications at scale.

Requirements

  • BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or 8 years of security domain experience without a degree.
  • 4+ years of experience acting as a trusted advisor in a team setting and delivering short-term and long-term business value.
  • 4+ years of experience coaching other engineers or analysts.
  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Postgres, Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS S3.
  • Experience with data architectures including data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouses.
  • Experience with data discovery, classification, and cataloging tools or frameworks.
  • Understanding of protecting PII/PHI and healthcare data privacy requirements, including HIPAA.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python for automation and integration.
  • Experience with regex patterns and scripting.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in healthcare or health-tech systems such as electronic health records and clinical data.
  • Preferred experience with tooling, automation, and distributed systems development.
  • Experience generating automated metrics to measure service and program effectiveness and consistency is preferred.
  • Experience with data security posture management tools such as Wiz DSPM, BigID, Cyera, or Bedrock Data.
  • Experience integrating security controls into data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Familiarity with legal hold processes, data retention, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments is preferred.
