Description

  • Own internal IT operations, including devices, access management, and employee onboarding.
  • Lead the company’s security posture through policies, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Manage compliance efforts for HIPAA, SOC 2, and vendor risk requirements.
  • Build and maintain secure systems, infrastructure, and operational controls across GCP and Azure.
  • Use AI tools to automate routine operations, improve monitoring, and accelerate delivery.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, access controls, and identity management practices.
  • Translate internal security and compliance needs into practical processes for a distributed organization.
  • Support the company’s growth by starting as an individual contributor and potentially building a small team over time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT operations, information security, cloud administration, or compliance and audit management.
  • Hands-on experience managing multi-cloud environments, with GCP and Azure required.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance, including preparing for or managing external audits.
  • Experience building security policies, access controls, and incident response procedures.
  • Strong understanding of identity management (SSO, MFA, RBAC), endpoint management, and network security fundamentals.
  • Proficiency with AI tools and a working practice of using automation to reduce operational burden.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills with the ability to explain security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort working autonomously in a fast-paced, fully remote, distributed environment.
  • Preferred: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent certifications.
  • Preferred: Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipeline security, or infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Preferred: Background in vendor risk management and third-party security assessments.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting healthcare or financial services clients with regulated data requirements.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with GDPR, DPDPA, or other regional data protection frameworks.
  • Preferred: Experience with GRC platforms such as Vanta or Drata.
  • Preferred: Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability management tools, or penetration testing coordination.

Benefits

  • Base salary of approximately $35,000 USD per year, calibrated for target regions.
  • Opportunity to earn performance bonuses of up to 100% of base salary.
  • Total compensation varies based on experience, location, and hiring-process performance.
