Description

  • Build data products, models, measurement frameworks, and intelligence to improve Airbnb’s marketplace and product.
  • Develop pricing guidance systems and measure the impact of pricing feature launches using experimental and observational methods.
  • Build products, tools, and programs that help hosts succeed and help guests discover and book stays that fit their needs.
  • Create inference frameworks and data products that support marketplace growth.
  • Model, simulate, and measure the impact of new features using Python, SQL, or R and causal inference methods.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to generate insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and Analytics to drive collaboration and innovation.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to leaders and stakeholders to support decision making.
  • Leverage AI tools to improve the efficiency and impact of data-driven product development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with a BS or master’s degree, or 2+ years of experience with a PhD.
  • Experience with experimentation, causal observational analysis, and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience partnering with product, engineering, and design teams to support data-driven model or product development.
  • Ability to prototype, build, and scale derived data assets.
  • Strong coding skills in SQL and either Python or R.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Work authorization, if applicable.
  • Ability to meet travel requirements, if applicable.
  • US remote eligibility and residence in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
  • Preferred experience across multiple tracks, including pricing data science, guest and host product data science, or marketplace data science.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $179,000 to $210,000 USD.
  • Eligible for bonus.
  • Eligible for equity.

  • US-remote eligible role with occasional office or offsite attendance as needed.
