Description

  • Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to evaluate and improve the legal accuracy, relevance, and quality of contract review and analytics features.
  • Test AI-generated outputs against real-world legal standards and identify gaps, failure modes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and refine prompts, evaluation frameworks, and quality benchmarks for legal AI performance.
  • Translate legal domain knowledge into clear, actionable requirements for non-lawyer teammates.
  • Serve as an internal subject-matter expert on contract law, CLM workflows, and how legal and procurement teams operate.
  • Design and lead customer-facing training initiatives such as webinars, guides, and workshops.
  • Help customers adopt best practices and get full value from the platform.
  • Stay current on developments in AI-assisted legal work and bring outside perspective and competitive insight to the team.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • JD or equivalent legal qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience negotiating commercial contracts for an in-house legal team or similar.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for technology and interest in AI-powered legal tools.
  • Strong analytical instincts with the ability to evaluate nuanced legal outputs critically.
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and customer-facing audiences.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to define success when criteria are not fully spelled out.
  • A collaborative, low-ego working style that builds trust across disciplines and with customers.
  • Willingness to do detailed, hands-on work such as reviewing outputs, documenting patterns, writing test cases, and iterating on prompts.
  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment (preferred).
  • Direct experience using CLM platforms, contract review tools, or other legal tech solutions (preferred).
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering or AI evaluation methods (preferred).
  • Prior experience in legal tech, legal ops, engineering, or a product-adjacent role (preferred).
