Description

  • Leverage advanced data analytics to derive insights and optimize credit strategies across products and geographies.
  • Partner with Engineering to design and build scalable risk models and credit risk capabilities.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and macroeconomic trends that affect loan outcomes, and adjust underwriting and marketing strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance teams to translate regulatory and market requirements into credit policy, underwriting, and product recommendations.
  • Engage with external stakeholders such as merchants, vendors, and regulatory bodies to align credit risk practices and strengthen partnerships.
  • Oversee the development and execution of credit underwriting frameworks that balance growth, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Drive cross-functional discussions to ensure new product launches and market entries align with risk appetite, operational capabilities, and local regulations.

Requirements

  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience, or equivalent senior-level experience.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with data mining, data visualization, and statistical modeling.
  • Experience applying machine learning techniques to credit risk management.
  • Experience leveraging advanced analytics to develop and optimize credit strategies.
  • Experience monitoring and interpreting model performance metrics across portfolios.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Product, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering.
  • Deep understanding of consumer lending regulations, fair lending principles, and regional market dynamics.
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory and economic insights into actionable credit and product strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across technical and non-technical functions.

Benefits

  • Base pay range of $145,000 - $205,000 per year for CA, WA, NY, NJ, and CT; $128,000 - $188,000 per year for all other U.S. states.
