Description

  • Architect and implement automated behavioral analysis pipelines to detect trial abuse, account takeovers, and sending anomalies.
  • Build continuous risk scoring systems across the customer lifecycle to proactively identify emerging threats.
  • Develop sender reputation tracking that integrates with email deliverability signals.
  • Engineer content analysis capabilities for URL, image, and web-based threat detection.
  • Deploy custom Python services and detection logic using Sift rules to automate real-time security responses.
  • Collaborate with Security Platform Engineering to improve data pipelines feeding security and monitoring tools.
  • Design automated response workflows such as account suspension, campaign throttling, and manual review routing.
  • Partner with Product Security Engineering to instrument AI feature telemetry and detect synthetic content and inauthentic behavior.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and security teams to translate threats into automated defenses.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building fraud detection, abuse prevention, or security monitoring systems.
  • Expert-level Python development skills with experience writing production-grade code in large-scale systems.
  • Deep expertise in messaging abuse patterns, including email/SMS phishing, spam, and sender reputation.
  • Strong understanding of ML-based detection systems and behavioral analytics.
  • Technical proficiency with modern abuse tooling such as Sift.
  • Experience in content moderation or text/image analysis is preferred.
  • Prior experience in SaaS messaging, marketing automation, or Email Service Provider (ESP) platforms is a bonus.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and security teams.
  • Experience building automated detection systems at scale with limited resources is preferred.
