Description

  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and roadmaps aligned to business strategy and regulatory requirements.
  • Advise on data management capabilities including catalog, marketplace, lineage, metadata management, data quality, master data management, privacy, security, observability, integration, and compliance.
  • Assess current data landscapes, identify gaps, and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Facilitate data stewardship, ownership, and classification by defining and communicating roles and responsibilities.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments and recommend updates to policies, standards, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with business and IT leaders to align data management with operational priorities and support organizational change.
  • Architect end-to-end data management solutions across enterprise applications and systems.
  • Deliver reports, workshops, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide thought leadership, training, and advice on projects and policies that affect data flows and governance.
  • Define KPIs to measure the effectiveness of governance programs.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of work experience, with the most recent 5 years in data stewardship, data architecture, and governance implementation.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience designing and implementing data management tools and technologies for catalog, marketplace, lineage, metadata management, quality, master data management, privacy, security, observability, and integration.
  • Excellent business writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across business and IT teams.
  • Consulting and stakeholder management experience across technology and business functions.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cloud, hybrid, and modern data engineering patterns.
  • Ability to adjust technical detail, format, and communication frequency based on the audience.
