Description

Serve as teacher of record and primary instructor across assigned core content areas and grade levels.
Deliver live online lessons and asynchronous instruction using research-based practices.
Set up courses in the learning management system and monitor student progress.
Provide daily assignment feedback and grades while maintaining regular student contact.
Analyze student data to adjust instruction and differentiate learning for all students.
Communicate with families about students’ academic and social-emotional development.
Collaborate with the principal and colleagues on progress reports, planning, and school initiatives.
Create an inclusive, caring classroom culture using culturally responsive practices and school-wide expectations.
Participate in social events, field trips, and required in-person state testing several times annually.
Integrate technology skills into classroom and team practices and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

Current Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area.
Knowledge of Ohio State Standards and Common Core Standards.
Two years of teaching experience preferred.
Comfort working in a coaching environment involving observations, debriefs, action plans, and progress monitoring.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
Ability to manage confidential information and supervise students in all school settings.
Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
Ohio residency required; experience in a multicultural setting preferred.
Availability to travel for annual state testing and periodic in-person student events.
