Description

  • Serve as teacher of record and primary instructor.
  • Deliver research-based live and asynchronous instruction through online platforms.
  • Set up courses in the Learning Management System and grade assignments daily.
  • Monitor student progress, maintain regular student contact, and use data to adjust instruction.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
  • Communicate with families about students’ academic and social-emotional development.
  • Collaborate with the principal and colleagues on progress reports, instructional planning, and school culture.
  • Integrate culturally responsive practices and 21st-century technology skills into instruction.
  • Plan and participate in social events, field trips, and required in-person state testing.
  • Travel for face-to-face testing and student events several times per year.

Requirements

  • Current Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area.
  • Knowledge of Ohio state standards and Common Core Standards.
  • Two years of teaching experience preferred.
  • Comfort working in a coaching environment involving observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage confidential information and supervise students in all school settings.
  • Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
  • Experience working in a multicultural setting preferred; applicants must reside in Ohio.
