Description

  • Deliver highly effective live virtual lessons based on student needs and research-based instructional practices.
  • Set up courses in the Learning Management System.
  • Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and grading.
  • Track and maintain contact with each student.
  • Collaborate with the principal to create and deliver student progress reports.
  • Review student data regularly to adjust instruction and support learning goals.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Use culturally responsive practices and 21st-century technology in daily instruction and team settings.
  • Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Plan and participate in non-instructional activities, including in-person events and state testing support.

Requirements

  • Current state teaching license in the appropriate content area.
  • Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
  • Preferred: 2 years of teaching experience.
  • High comfort level working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to properly manage confidential information.
  • Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
  • Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
  • Preferred: Experience working in a multicultural setting.
  • Must be a resident of Florida.
  • Willingness to travel several times per year for in-person testing and student events.
