Description

  • Develop and deliver key product features in collaboration with the Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, and Product Manager.
  • Design distributed systems and high-volume infrastructure that scale across cloud environments.
  • Own the reliability of features you build, including unit testing and integration testing.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
  • Provide technical support and communicate updates, challenges, and solutions asynchronously with distributed teammates.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers on the team.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and raise engineering quality through professional development activities.
  • Own infrastructure decisions that influence what the team can build and how quickly products are delivered.
  • Help drive new customer wins and product launches through platform work.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of backend engineering experience with distributed systems.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating production applications in Python and Golang.
  • Proven end-to-end platform ownership, including system design and delivery at scale.
  • Experience building low-latency, high-throughput, resilient systems with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong operational excellence in monitoring, fault tolerance, and incident response.
  • Ability to write technical design docs and make practical architectural trade-offs.
  • Demonstrated growth in impact, responsibility, and ownership over time.
  • Strong written communication and the ability to work autonomously with distributed teams and remote stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented approach to code quality, testing, and performance.
  • Preferred: experience with Python, Go, AWS, K8s, Django, Spark, and Prometheus.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of Golang programming experience.
  • Preferred: familiarity with AWS services and deployment practices.
  • Preferred: experience leading a small team to build a feature or component from scratch.
