Description

  • Develop compelling case themes and litigation strategies.
  • Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, discovery, and trials.
  • Manage full case-handling responsibilities from inception through resolution.
  • Communicate routinely with clients and cultivate relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and teams across experience levels.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to less experienced attorneys.
  • Handle matters involving general liability, construction defect, toxic tort, and class actions.

Requirements

  • Active California Bar license and eligibility to practice in California.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • 8+ years of litigation experience, including deposition and trial preparation.
  • Experience managing insurance defense matters preferred.
  • Strong experience with general liability and complex civil litigation.
  • Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, written, deposition, and advocacy skills.
  • Experience with time-management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $160,000–$190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Annual billable-hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiered bonuses.

  • 401(k) match: 100% on the first 3% contributed and 50% on the following 4%–5%.
  • Remote, hybrid, or in-office work options, with occasional in-person appearances as needed.
