Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs, including the public TTS API and internal services for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking.
  • Oversee the backend API landscape and improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate on B2B solutions to support enterprise customization and integration needs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
  • Contribute to backend services that support new products, analytics, payments, subscriptions, text-to-speech, and external APIs.
  • Make product decisions and help shape platform direction in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in backend development with TypeScript/Node.js.
  • Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on urgency and impact and execute efficiently from idea to implementation.
  • Preferred experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
  • Preferred experience deploying highly available applications on Kubernetes.
  • Strong communication skills and a solid work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively in a 100% distributed, asynchronous environment.
