Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects and balance integration and UX tradeoffs.
  • Reduce project scope when needed to accelerate customer feedback and delivery.
  • Deliver solutions through Speechify’s cross-platform SDK.
  • Optimize existing functionality for faster loading and more intelligent parsing.
  • Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms to enhance performance.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.

Requirements

  • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable but the role is centered on Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
  • Strong systems thinking and an end-to-end approach to design.
  • Ability to work quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus later.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote startup environment with periods of deep focus.
  • Ability to collaborate and negotiate with designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Links to a portfolio and LinkedIn are requested when applying.
