Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects and deliver solutions through the cross-platform SDK.
  • Reduce project scope where appropriate to accelerate customer feedback.
  • Navigate integration and user experience tradeoffs across different product teams.
  • Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms to optimize existing functionality.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
  • Build and maintain foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms.

Requirements

  • Senior Software Engineer experience in a product and infrastructure environment.
  • Strong systems thinking with an emphasis on end-to-end design and simplicity.
  • Ability to work quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus later.
  • Ability to stay focused and work effectively in a fast-paced, remote startup environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Preferred experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable.
  • Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
  • Ability to provide portfolio and LinkedIn links when applying.
