Description

  • Serve as the single point of contact for new partner firms from pre-close through full integration.
  • Participate in pre-LOI diligence by assessing culture, integration readiness, and fit alongside Partner Development.
  • Contribute to readiness scoring and flag deal complexities early for incorporation into structure and terms.
  • Lead business introduction meetings with firm principals to understand the firm’s history, goals, clients, team dynamics, and market position.
  • Build the initial firm-specific success plan before close, including value creation priorities, retention risk mapping, and year-one objectives.
  • Project manage business-related issues during the LOI-to-close and post-close phases and drive issue resolution.
  • Orchestrate the introduction of integration teams, corporate functions, and specialist resources on the firm’s timeline.
  • Monitor integration milestones, execute the structured welcome experience, and confirm committee participation and operating routine enrollment within 90 days.
  • Own post-close value creation plans, including repricing, organic growth initiatives, capability adoption, and synergy capture.
  • Track firm health, growth, margin, productivity, retention risk, and cross-sell opportunities, and escalate issues when performance falls below thresholds.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in wealth management, financial services, management consulting, or a senior relationship management role.
  • Meaningful exposure to business owners, firm principals, or founders.
  • Demonstrated experience driving commercial outcomes in a client-facing role.
  • Familiarity with the RIA or independent advisory space is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of how advisory firms are built, run, and grown is essential.
  • Experience navigating organizational change, firm transitions, or post-merger integration is a significant advantage.
  • People leadership experience or readiness, with potential to grow into a team leadership role as the function scales.
  • Exceptional relationship-building ability with experienced, often skeptical financial professionals.
  • Commercial mindset with understanding of AUM dynamics, revenue drivers, and organic growth levers.
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, and operational discipline.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, complexity, and emotionally charged situations.
  • Availability during standard business hours Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional early or late hours as needed.
  • Ability to work in a professional office or dedicated home office workspace with basic technology provided.
  • Base pay range of $170,000 to $200,000 USD.
  • Eligibility to earn incentive compensation through Mercer Advisors’ incentive compensation programs.
