Description

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Lead, oversee, and manage project engineers, including coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Own department success by understanding profitability metrics, resource allocation, and project impact on MSP growth.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison for project communications, updates, and issue resolution.
  • Oversee technical resources to ensure tasks are completed according to the project plan.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, change orders, and closure documents.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks proactively.
  • Manage scope changes through a formal change control process to prevent scope creep.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and regular status updates to address issues and roadblocks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and collaborate with staff, clients, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of project management experience within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
  • Experience working directly with clients, vendors, and internal technical teams in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple IT projects simultaneously and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • PMP certification preferred, or other relevant project management credentials.
  • Strong understanding of IT principles, infrastructure, and managed services.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Hands-on experience with PSA and project management tools such as ConnectWise Manage, Autotask, Asana, or Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.

  • Salary range of $90,000–$110,000 per year.
