Description

  • Lead data engineering delivery for reliable, scalable pipelines using Snowflake, Sigma, and related applications.
  • Build and support data infrastructure for complex analytics and self-service reporting.
  • Integrate data solutions with tools and services across the broader data warehousing ecosystem.
  • Optimize performance across the data stack by refining execution parameters and applying best practices.
  • Establish and evolve enterprise data governance processes for quality, lineage, metadata, stewardship, cataloging, and lifecycle management.
  • Perform code-level analysis and resource profiling to identify and resolve root causes affecting production stability.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to communicate progress, resolve issues, and deliver projects on time.
  • Participate in weekday and weekend on-call rotation.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration across engineering and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining data pipelines and data platforms.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience as a technical lead on a Data Engineering team.
  • Experience with SQL databases or data warehouses such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, or AWS RDS.
  • Experience with ETL technologies such as Rivery, Informatica, DataStage, Talend, or Fivetran.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture, distributed processing, data modeling, and platform reliability engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data warehouse and cloud data platform architectures, including AWS and Snowflake.
  • Experience establishing and operating enterprise data governance capabilities, including data quality, lineage, metadata, and stewardship practices.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Python is desired.
  • Experience in financial services, especially auto finance and lending, is preferred.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
