Description

  • Investigate and analyze motor vehicle accident accounts to identify and coordinate insurance benefits.
  • Conduct online medical research using proprietary systems, tools, and external medical websites.
  • Request, acquire, and review medical records, provider notes, explanation of benefits, and other supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and submit hospital claims and MVA billing packets to insurance companies with required documentation.
  • Follow up with payers to confirm documentation receipt, update claim records, and drive reimbursement.
  • Communicate with patients and insurance adjusters to discuss claim status and expected resolution timing.
  • Review payer EOBs and determine the appropriate next steps for claim balances after auto insurance resolution.
  • Maintain privacy and security of patient health information and confidential proprietary data.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in the healthcare field working in billing or collections.
  • 1+ years of experience with MVA claim resolution preferred.
  • Strong computer proficiency with basic office applications, including MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and data requirements related to MVA and first party auto claims.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
