Description

  • Lead complex investigations into unauthorized access, data misuse, insider threat signals, and other employee-facing workplace matters.
  • Conduct interviews of complainants, subjects, and witnesses and document findings.
  • Partner with Security teams to interpret system logs, access patterns, and digital evidence.
  • Translate technical evidence into clear investigative narratives, reports, and defensible conclusions.
  • Assess employee intent, credibility, and risk in sensitive and ambiguous situations.
  • Support decisions involving heightened legal, regulatory, or reputational exposure.
  • Maintain and track case documents and communications in the case management system.
  • Build effective relationships with cross-functional partners in Security, Legal, Employee Relations, and Human Resources.
  • Use investigation data to provide strategic insights that inform leadership decisions and mitigate risk.
  • Consult with in-house attorneys to ensure compliance and consistent interpretation of laws and regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in Workplace Investigations and support cross-functional projects as needed.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in workplace investigations, human resources, employee relations, security, and/or employment law.
  • 5+ years of experience conducting complex, high-risk investigations involving fraud, data misuse, or security-related concerns.
  • Experience working with technical or digital evidence such as access logs, systems activity, and audit trails.
  • Experience partnering with Security or technical teams.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous, high-stakes environments with competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear, concise investigative reports for multiple audiences.
  • Experience managing relationships with diverse stakeholders across levels and functions.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly changing environment with a growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Juris Doctorate or other advanced degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • AWI-CH, SPHR/SHRM-SCP, or CFE certification preferred.
  • Previous tech experience preferred.
