Description

  • Create and execute test plans and test scripts for VA software solutions.
  • Work in an Agile and Test Driven Development (TDD) environment with developers, end users, and organizational stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with test sites and other team participants to plan and conduct test events.
  • Write and assist in the development of test plans and test procedures.
  • Configure hardware and operating environments needed to complete assigned testing.
  • Apply technical expertise across IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems, networks, and specialized environments to support testing.
  • Create test reports documenting results and findings.
  • Track problems, report errors identified during testing, and manage issues to closure against acceptance criteria.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance.
  • Experience working on Agile development teams alongside developers, end users, and organizational stakeholders.
  • Proven experience writing or assisting in the development of test plans and test procedures.
  • Experience creating test plans and test scripts in a Test Driven Development (TDD) environment.
  • Comprehensive technical expertise across IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems, networks, and specialized environments.
  • Experience configuring hardware and operating environments to support test execution.
  • Experience creating and delivering test reports.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues against defined acceptance criteria.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting federal or regulated environments (preferred).
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Benefits

  • Expected 1099 contractor rate of $50/hr to $70/hr.
  • W-2 salary range of $47,000 to $65,000.
