Description

  • Develop capacity solutions to support customer freight needs.
  • Manage load boards to match freight with available carrier capacity.
  • Manage a portfolio of carriers and build strategic relationships across geographies.
  • Prepare quotes and negotiate transportation rates with carriers and logistics partners.
  • Accurately enter, process, and follow up on orders and requests via phone, email, and EDI.
  • Conduct calls with carriers to assess availability and negotiate rates.
  • Provide consistent service to contracted carriers and internal customers.
  • Maintain and grow carrier accounts through account reviews and collaboration opportunities.

Requirements

  • College or university degree.
  • 3-4 years of previous experience in brokerage or carrier sales is an asset.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of North American geography.
  • Strong command of MS Office.
  • Ability to learn new software easily.
