Description

  • Manage the safe movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center for repairs while meeting production and quality goals.
  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly inventory production targets.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of the assigned team and identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Coach, develop, and manage performance for hourly associates, including giving feedback and demonstrating expected behaviors.
  • Create a team environment that supports positive communication, cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
  • Communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals clearly to team members.
  • Prevent and resolve conflict among team members.
  • Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Review and approve mechanical and physical defects in incoming inventory and partner with the General Manager on repair-or-reject decisions.
  • Train production associates on quality control standards to complete repairs correctly the first time and minimize rework.
  • Promote safe work practices and help reduce the risk of injury in the shop.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and manage multiple associates on a fast-paced production line.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience using computers.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas of Carvana’s reconditioning process.
  • Demonstrated understanding of current reconditioning processes and lean principles.
  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling in variable shop conditions.
  • Ability to use required safety equipment, including face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective gear.
  • Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to delegate, multitask, prioritize effectively, and resolve complex issues with guidance.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and variable schedules.
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
