Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take full technical ownership of client digital ecosystems built on Magento 2 and WordPress.
  • Ensure the stability and ongoing performance of the current Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations across custom themes, hooks, and plugin implementations.
  • Audit, inherit, and optimize existing codebases while identifying and documenting technical debt.
  • Execute seamless deployments and support staging-to-production release workflows.
  • Optimize MySQL queries and maintain high-performance caching layers such as Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Integrate Magento and WordPress with external ERPs, CRMs, and marketing tools using REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Work with Linux-based server environments and web servers such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Apply security best practices including PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal team members on projects that impact business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong experience with WordPress, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, SASS/LESS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a significant plus.
  • Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs to connect platforms and external systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Git, staging-to-production workflows, and Linux server environments.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
