Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take full technical ownership of client Magento 2 and WordPress platforms.
  • Ensure the stability and ongoing performance of the current Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, including custom themes, hooks, and plugins.
  • Audit, inherit, document, and optimize existing legacy codebases and technical debt.
  • Execute seamless deployments and support staging-to-production workflows.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Magento, WordPress, and external ERP, CRM, or marketing systems.
  • Optimize database queries and caching layers to improve performance.
  • Work with Linux-based server environments and web servers such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Apply security best practices, including Magento patching, WordPress hardening, and PCI-related safeguards.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams in a consulting environment to deliver impactful technical solutions.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong WordPress experience, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with caching layers such as Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS with SASS or LESS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a significant plus.
  • Experience integrating systems through REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
  • Solid understanding of Git, deployment workflows, and Linux server environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • An Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or similar certification is preferred.
