Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take full technical ownership of client Magento 2 and WordPress environments.
  • Ensure stability and reliability of the existing Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, including custom themes, hooks, and plugins.
  • Audit inherited codebases, identify technical debt, and document existing systems.
  • Execute seamless deployments and support staging-to-production release workflows.
  • Optimize application performance, including database queries and caching layers.
  • Integrate Magento and WordPress with external ERP, CRM, and marketing systems via APIs.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams on a variety of consulting projects.
  • Support security practices, including patching and hardening across platforms.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong experience with WordPress custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proven ability to work with legacy codebases and inherit existing systems.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a plus.
  • Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs for system integrations.
  • Solid understanding of Git, Linux-based environments, and Nginx/Apache deployment workflows.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
