Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take over technical ownership of client digital ecosystems built on Magento 2 and WordPress.
  • Ensure the stability and reliability of the current Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin-related functionality.
  • Execute seamless deployments across staging and production environments.
  • Audit, document, and optimize inherited legacy codebases and technical debt.
  • Optimize MySQL performance and support high-performance caching and search layers.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Magento, WordPress, and external systems such as ERPs, CRMs, and marketing tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to support a variety of projects and business needs.
  • Apply security best practices, including Magento patching, WordPress hardening, and PCI-related considerations.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong WordPress experience with custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proven ability to work with inherited and legacy codebases, including auditing and documentation.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS with SASS/LESS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a significant plus.
  • Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs for system integrations.
  • Solid understanding of Git, staging-to-production workflows, and Linux server environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
