Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take over full technical ownership of client digital platforms.
  • Ensure the stability and ongoing performance of the current Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, including custom themes, hooks, and plugins.
  • Execute seamless deployments as technical responsibilities transition to the team.
  • Audit, document, and optimize inherited codebases and legacy systems.
  • Identify and address technical debt across existing applications.
  • Optimize MySQL queries and caching layers to improve application performance.
  • Integrate Magento and WordPress with external ERP, CRM, and marketing tools using APIs.
  • Support staging-to-production workflows and Linux-based server environments.
  • Apply security practices, including Magento patching, WordPress hardening, and PCI-related safeguards.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong experience with WordPress custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proven ability to work with inherited or legacy codebases and document technical debt.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS with SASS/LESS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a strong plus.
  • Experience integrating systems through REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Knowledge of Git, deployment workflows, and Linux-based servers such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
