Description

  • Maintain and support the current Magento 2 instance and related WordPress systems.
  • Take ownership of clients’ digital ecosystem as technical responsibilities transition to the team.
  • Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes, hooks, and plugins.
  • Audit, document, and optimize inherited legacy codebases and technical debt.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Magento, WordPress, and external ERP, CRM, or marketing tools using APIs.
  • Optimize database performance, caching, and overall application performance.
  • Execute deployments and manage staging-to-production workflows.
  • Work with Linux-based server environments and web servers such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Apply security best practices including Magento security patching, WordPress hardening, and PCI-related considerations.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal team members on a variety of consulting projects.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong experience with WordPress development, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proven ability to work with existing codebases, identify technical debt, and document inherited systems.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with caching/search technologies such as Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a significant plus.
  • Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs for system integrations.
  • Solid understanding of Git, deployment workflows, Linux server environments, Nginx/Apache, PCI compliance, and security patching/hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
