Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take over full technical ownership of client digital ecosystems built on Magento 2 and WordPress.
  • Ensure the stability and ongoing performance of the current Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, including custom themes, hooks, and plugins.
  • Execute seamless deployments while transitioning technical responsibilities.
  • Audit, inherit, and optimize existing codebases while documenting technical debt and inherited systems.
  • Optimize database performance and caching layers to support high-traffic applications.
  • Integrate Magento and WordPress with external ERPs, CRMs, and marketing tools through APIs.
  • Work within staging-to-production workflows and maintain Linux-based server environments.
  • Address security requirements such as PCI compliance, Magento patching, and WordPress hardening.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with WordPress, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS with SASS/LESS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs to connect systems and tools.
  • Solid understanding of Git, deployment workflows, and Linux server environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or similar certification is preferred.
  • Proven ability to inherit, audit, and optimize legacy codebases.
