Description

  • Define and drive the technical architecture for Manufacturing Production Solutions, including system design, scalability patterns, integration strategies, and build-versus-platform tradeoffs.
  • Architect and implement distributed systems, services, APIs, and tooling for work orders, scheduling, material tracking, and capacity planning.
  • Establish engineering excellence through testing, safe deployments such as blue-green and canary releases, infrastructure as code, observability, and operational rigor.
  • Collaborate with Platform/Foundations to shape shared infrastructure and drive adoption of platform capabilities.
  • Partner across MES product teams to create cohesive manufacturing experiences and evolve data models across production, quality, and supply chain domains.
  • Represent manufacturing requirements in architecture, security, operations, and infrastructure decisions.
  • Raise the technical bar through code review, architecture discussions, and shared ownership practices.
  • Identify systemic technical issues, remove friction, eliminate single points of failure, and improve automation and tooling.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of software engineering experience building products in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to influence technical direction across teams and build architectural consensus.
  • Experience with large enterprise applications and platforms with high availability requirements.
  • Strong full-stack experience with modern web technologies, including JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and frameworks such as Next.js or Remix.
  • Ability to translate manufacturing operations needs into scalable technical architectures for enterprise production workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-team alignment.
  • U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled data.
  • Familiarity with AWS, TypeScript, and React/Remix is particularly helpful.
  • Experience in hyper-growth, startup-like environments with scaling software development processes is preferred.
  • Manufacturing operations knowledge, including MES, ERP, production scheduling, work order management, or supply chain platforms, is preferred.
  • Experience in defense, autonomy, robotics, or other mission-critical systems is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with AI/LLM integration and agentic tooling in production software development is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
