Description

  • Lead and mentor a team of two Senior Technical Revenue Accountants and serve as the subject-matter expert for technical revenue accounting.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex revenue accounting treatments, journal entries, standalone selling price assessments, and other accounting interpretations.
  • Lead revenue contract documentation and provide pre-consulting support on revenue matters.
  • Prepare and review technical accounting contract checklists, memos, revenue cycle walkthroughs, and position papers.
  • Track and analyze contract review throughput and performance data, and adjust work assignments to maintain review pace and efficiency.
  • Review and provide feedback on contract interpretations and ASC 606 application to internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with Revenue Operations to ensure revenue is accurately reflected, recognized, and reported each month.
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, Program Managers, FP&A, Accounts Receivable, and Legal/Contract Managers on revenue issues.
  • Identify and drive process improvement, automation, standardization, and scalability opportunities within revenue accounting.
  • Support the external audit process by managing and reviewing audit support provided to independent auditors.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant exposure to revenue-related topics.
  • Experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and the ability to explain complex treatments to non-finance and business teams.
  • Experience leading process improvement and optimization initiatives within accounting or finance.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-growth, fast-paced organization.
  • Experience in high-technology or advanced manufacturing companies preferred.
  • Defense or government contract experience preferred.
  • Big 4 background preferred.
  • CPA certification (active or inactive) or current CPA candidacy preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, Slack, and Palantir Foundry preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
